What's a Master Calendar?
A Master Calendar is simply a calendar, much like your Team calendar, which can be managed from your Library. Master Calendars can then be assigned to Team calendars, allowing you to deliver the same exact programming to multiple Teams.
When to Use Master Calendars:
Most coaches likely won't ever need to use a Master Calendar. We recommend using Programs to easily re-use programming between calendars.
The exception is for coaches who plan to deliver the same exact programming to multiple teams, on the same schedule, without alterations.
For example, if you're a PE teacher with multiple class periods who are following the same programming on the same schedule, you can program on a Master Calendar, and turn that Master Calendar on for each Class Period Team. Your Master Calendar provides one central location to update programming for multiple Teams subscribed to the Master Calendar.
3 Steps to Create a Master Calendar:
1. First, head to the Library, and select 'Master Calendar.'
2. Select 'Create New,' and give that Master Calendar a title
3. Select 'Create Master Calendar'
Once you've created your Master Calendar, you'll program directly on the calendar. You can even add a Program from your Library using the 'Add from Library' option in the upper right-hand menu.
Add your Master Calendar to a Team:
After you've created your Calendar and added programming, you'll want to assign the Master Calendar to your Teams. From your Master Calendar Library page, select 'Assign.'
Use the dropdown to select the appropriate Teams that will be subscribed to this Calendar.
Once the Teams are subscribed to the Master Calendar, remember, you'll only need to maintain that programming on your Master Calendar, not the individual Teams. Pretty cool, right?!
