Keep your coach in the loop by swapping or adding exercises to your training session.
We understand the nature of training. Some days, you may not have access to the right equipment, or you may not be in the right place physically or mentally to perform a specific exercise. Take ownership of your training journey, and communicate those changes to your coach by using "Swap Exercise" and "Add Exercise."
Here we'll cover how to:
Swapping an Exercise:
When your coach prescribes an Exercise, you can easily swap it out for another movement directly from your training session. To make things even easier, if your coach has pre-approved alternative movements for you, those recommended swaps will appear right at the top of your exercise list.
You have two ways to initiate a swap:
How to Swap an Exercise:
-
Choose your shortcut:
Option A (Fastest): Select the blue swap icon
(two arrows stacked on top of each other) right next to the exercise name.
Option B: Select the 3-dot menu on the right side of the exercise block, then select "Swap Exercise."
Search or browse the list. Your coach's recommended alternatives will be pinned directly at the top under "Suggested By Coach."
Select the Exercise from the list and confirm the swap.
Your newly swapped Exercise will instantly reflect in your session.
💡 Coach Visibility: This swap is fully visible to your coach, keeping them perfectly looped in on exactly what you completed.
Note:
- When using 'Swap Exercise', you'll have access to your coach's Exercise Library, as well as the TrainHeroic Exercise Library
- 'Swap Exercise' is specific to Exercise blocks, or single movements, not circuits.
Add an Exercise:
If you are motivated and don't want to stop lifting, use "Add Exercise", under the 3 dots, to select an exercise you want to complete. Again, this will keep your coach in the loop and give you some credit for your efforts!
We recommend using the 'Add Exercise' button located at the end of your training session, from the session overview.
1. Select "Add Exercise" from the bottom of your session.
2. Search for the Exercises you'd like to add.
3. Select the circle to the right of the Exercise, then select "Add."
Once you've added your Exercise, you'll be able to add sets, reps, and weights. Then, select "Start Session" to complete the session, including the 2 Exercises added to the end of your session.
Note:
- All added exercises will be added to the end of your training session
- 'Add Exercise' is exclusive to Exercises in your coach's Library and the TrainHeroic Library, and does NOT include Circuits
