Fuel your flex and get ready for gains!
Track your nutrition habits directly in TrainHeroic with the new Nutrition feature in Athlete Pro! This feature uses Apple Health to pull your logged calories and macros from other apps (like MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, Lose It! and more) and display it within your TrainHeroic calendar.
This feature is currently only available on Apple iOS devices. Coming to Android soon!
Steps on how to get connected:
Step 1: Start the connection in the TrainHeroic App
To begin, you will see a "Daily Nutrition" card on your training calendar.
- Tap the "Daily Nutrition" card to start the connection process.
Step 2: Give Permissions
Now that you've started the connection in the app, the permissions screen will automatically pop up. Click "Turn On All" to give TrainHeroic permission to read your Apple Health nutrition data.
Step 3: Connect Your Nutrition App to Apple Health
TrainHeroic pulls nutrition data from Apple Health. To get your nutrition data into Apple Health, you'll need to sync your preferred tracking app (e.g., MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, Lose It! etc.).
- Navigate to your nutrition tracking app's settings.
- Look for an option to "Connect," "Sync," or "Share Data" with Apple Health.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to enable the data you want to share.
Step 4: View Your Nutrition Data in TrainHeroic
Once everything is connected and you've logged nutrition data in your tracking app, you can view your daily nutrition details directly on your TrainHeroic calendar.
The data will sync and update automatically as you log your nutrition in your tracking app. If the data in your mobile app does not match your nutrition app, swipe down on your training calendar to refresh it.
To allow your coach to see your nutrition data, follow the 3 simple steps below:
- In your mobile app, choose "Me" and tap the settings gear icon on the top right.
- Go to "Athlete Pro" to open your Pro settings options.
- Flip the switch to on for "Share Nutrition Data with my Coach"
Common Questions & Troubleshooting:
- "My data isn't showing up!"
- Make sure you have enabled all permissions in both your nutrition app and in your iPhone's Privacy settings for the TrainHeroic app.
- Ensure you are logging your data in your nutrition tracking app after you have connected everything.
- "What data points do you pull from Apple Health?"
- TrainHeroic currently pulls Calories, Protein, Carbs, and Fat.
- "What nutrition apps can I use?"
- You can use any nutrition tracking app that is capable of syncing with Apple Health. Some of the most common ones are MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, Lose It!, and Lifesum. If your app is not on this list, simply check its settings to see if there is an option to connect with Apple Health.
- "I'm seeing double the amount of my calories and macros. Why?"
- This can occur if you have multiple devices or apps writing similar data to Apple Health (for example, if enter nutrition data in Apple Health and your nutrition app). To fix this, you may need to check your Apple Health "Data Sources" to manage which app takes priority.
- "What if I use an Android phone?"
- This feature is currently only available on Apple iOS devices. Coming to Android soon!
